Yes, You Are Allowed
"YES YOU ARE ALLOWED
TO BRING YOUR FOOD AND DRINK ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT"
This sign was all over the cafes at the Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest.
Oh we, the poor people!
We are allowed!
We need to be comforted that we can get the food and drink we buy at the bar-restaurant of the duty-free area on the airplane. Oh we are just so lucky that they allow us that luxury. You feel grateful, don't you?! It's for your “security”. Feel it, feel it while it lasts. Then Paris attacks happen. Enjoy your “security.”
Please wake up and realize that the “feeling of security” is not the same as “security” itself. And that you are only being numbed by the “feeling” of it. Sure, it's comforting, sure, the feeling is important because that's how we experience life. But get a grip on the real thing too. At least, try to. Otherwise, we will end up building our own very prisons. If we already haven't done it! We have built the walls of our prisons, please don't put a roof over it too. Dismantle the walls. Walls work both ways. They're not only to block others, they lock us in our own cage too. Oh if you wish, enjoy being the “free” bird in the cage.
I'm so happy that I am allowed to take my stale food and outrageously priced drink bought at the duty-free on board the flight, aren't you too?
