I totally agree we need greater outrage. The question is... How do you get people who are busy with their own lives to be outraged? The only ones who are outraged are outraged against migrants. The other ones, who sympathize with migrants, do just that generally. I mean emotion-wise. They just feel sympathy, empathy, and perhaps pity. They may help refugees, they may make donations. The emotion they feel after that is PRIDE for themselves. They feel good that they have done their share and it is so satisfactory. They are not outraged at the injustice of it all. They are not even outraged that people are dying. I do not blame them for the second part. Our hearts cannot bleed so much for so many people we do not know personally. That is a fact. Otherwise, life would be unbearable and we would need to commit suicide. But the first part... Not being outraged at the injustice at birth is unacceptable. Not doing anything to change that, accepting injustice as the status quo IS UNACCEPTABLE.
