You know what? I vote for misanthropy instead of xenophobia. Seriously... At least you hate all humanity and you are not discriminating against anyone! It is much more logical. Wouldn't you agree? Besides... I seriously would like to know why you like people born within a same imaginary line, a line drawn by bloody war or bloody politics? Just because you grew up with the same values? If you claim so, I'd say think again. Who is raised with same values in a whole country? Even children raised in the same household by the same parents turn out to be much different. We are individuals. Read Andrew Solomon's wonderful book “Far From The Tree.” Tell me who gets along with who? How many of the people around you get along with each other? But please don't give your opinion about people you do not know from the inside. People hide their disagreements and problems. Just think and talk about your own life or those among your family or best friends. Very few households have peaceful and loving relationships. Conflict is so ubiquitous in this world. Am I wrong? After I wrote the above, I checked the internet. Sure enough, I wasn't the first person to think like this. It was full of similar quotes, quotes imprinted on t-shirts of all colors. All sorts of creative memes were done too. Then there were the quotes that made you think. Think deeper. I cannot help but agree with the below quotes when I think of several interactions in my life. Sure, luckily, there are positive ones as well. Still... Not enough to shift my views on the other side. The despairing thing is... The douchebags I encountered are not the worst forms of human life. I look at the world, look at what most people have to go through in this life, think of all the suffering caused by the cruelty of people... It becomes really impossible to love my kind.
